Pererenan is the village immediately north-west of Canggu, between the Pererenan river and Seseh. It has absorbed most of the growth that Canggu can no longer take: the same beach clubs, cafes and co-working culture, but with wider roads, working drainage and rice fields still in production.
Land here is the most actively traded on the west coast. Typical offers are 300-2000 sqm plots along the Pererenan and Munggu access roads, second-line parcels with rice-field views, and a smaller number of beachfront blocks near the river mouth. Leasehold dominates, usually 25-30 years, and prices have risen steeply but remain below Berawa and Batu Bolong.
The key advantages for a buyer are buildable, level ground and better construction access than central Canggu. The main risks are the flood plain along the river and the green-zone strip that runs behind the beach, both of which must be checked against the RDTR map before purchase. The airport is 45-60 minutes depending on traffic.
